With 2021 around the corner, our playlists are in desperate need of fresh tunes to start the new year with, and top of our must-adds is rising newcomer Morgan St. Jean with her bubbly pop single “Lola”. Showcasing her vocal range with deep baritone harmonies, she takes us on a whirlwind of crashing productions and pounding bass lines. Premiering the video today, we’re invited to the wedding of the century but not everything is as it seems when the bride-to-be and the other woman cross paths.

Speaking on the video, the singer said, “The ‘Lola’ music video is based on a concept I originally came up with for the single artwork. My goal was to bring that image to life, and depict the death of the old me and my subsequent rebirth in a very cinematic way. At first, Lola appears to be the villain of the story, but by the end we realise that she is actually the catalyst for my growth, and a necessary part of my journey. I had the most amazing time shooting this video with an all-female crew!”

Having gained support from the likes of Tiësto and Martin Garrrix over the years, we predict that we’re going to be hearing a lot more from the singer in the new year.
