Channelling the greats, powerhouse vocalist Katie Welch is blossoming into her own with her powerful debut EP “The New Renaissance”. Taking us on a journey of love, lust, addiction and personal growth, the singer’s debut EP boldly puts her out there, with layers of riveting storytelling and raw emotion at the forefront each track. Laced with feel-good bass lines that throw us back to the 90s and modern pop sensibilities, the EP showcases female empowerment, drenched in sensual R&B rhythms. Dropping her new video for “Sober” today, the singer tales the story of overcoming addiction and all the emotion that it embodies. Choreographed by Nathan Trasoras, the singer brings these emotions to life for a stunning performance.

Opening up on the video, the singer said, “It was my absolute dream team and I really feel it is my best work yet, I just can’t wait to share it with the world.”

Aside from creating music, the singer has been lending her skills to her Children empowerment program titled C.A.P.E Nation. Aiming to prevent bullying, her campaign aims to make a better place for children and teach them to be kind and compassionate to others. Stating that part two of her EP is coming soon, keep a lookout in 2021 for Welch as big things are coming her way.
