2020 has been the year of collabs and this year is going out with a bang with Wax Wings new HE.SHE.THEY. debut dance-pop single with London queer scene royalty Nimmo. Having given us a first look during Pabllo Vittar’s mega Halloween stream on IMVU and Twitch, “Reclaim Me” captures the essence of the club scene with pumping high adrenaline bass lines and mesmerising echoing vocals. Transporting us to a dystopian dance-filled world with obscure high fashion and adventure, the tune drenches us melodic feel-good rhythms and oscillating synths.

Opening up on the release of the single, Wax Wings reveals, “’Reclaim Me’ depicts the shadow self in the pursuit of its counterpart. Directed by London-based filmmaker Kassandra Powell, this collaboration transcends into its visual form through statuesque QPOC talent, high fashion and stylised aesthetics. A queer produced project, from artists to vocalists through to the casting for the video, ‘Reclaim Me’ is released via HE.SHE.THEY., the progressive events series and record label championing inclusivity and diversity within the music industry. Completing the queer arsenal are two remixes from underground royalty in the form of Maya Jane Coles and BBC Essential artist ABSOLUTE.”

Currently at the core of the HE.SHE.THEY family since the family debut in 2018, Wax Wings has been a leading figure in the flourishing LGBTQIA+ scene, performing alongside powerhouses such as Honey Dijon and Maya Jane Coles.
