The world is not OK right now. At a time when watching even a short segment of the news induces a crippling amount of doom, we need every snippet of hope and happiness the universe can muster. Thankfully some good news: Harry Styles and Billie Eilish will be starring in a new Gucci film series. Buckle up.
On Weds, Gucci dropped the third episode of its seven-part miniseries, which sees Styles sporting denim cutoffs aka jorts, loafers, long white socks, and a pink rugby-style ee emblazoned with “Gucci Loves Pink Eschatology 1921.” In the film, we find see actress, artist and performer Silvia Calderoni in a post office, where she bumps into Italian art critic Achille Bonito Olivia, talking to Styles on the phone (who talks about the process of making art in a sun-soaked garden).
Directed by legendary filmmaker Gus Van Sant (Good Will Hunting and My Own Private Idaho) and creative director Alessandro Michele, the series will reveal the Italian house’s upcoming collection – titled OUVERTURE of Something that Never Ended – and will be screened in seven episodes during GucciFest, the brand’s first ever digital fashion and film festival, running from 16th to 22nd November.
