Afternoon, Upper East Siders. Check out the new class of New York’s elite – spot them perched on the steps of the MET, with those signature headbands and preppy blazers we know and love. Yes, you read that right, Gossip Girl is back with a whole new cast. We reported earlier this year that the show had been picked up for a reboot with a fresh new cast, and the first pics of filming are here. With this season of social climbers boasting the likes of Summer 2020 cover star Evan Mock, Eli Brown, Zion Moreno, Jordan Alexander, Tavi Gevison and Emily Ayn Lind, we’re thrown back into the world of knee-high socks, feisty mini-skirts and super-sized designer handbags.

With no plot revealed for the upcoming reboot, Chace Crawford who played Nate Archibald in the original series hinted at the possible return, stating he would “absolutely cameo should the opportunity arise”. With the show returning to Constance Billard and the turbulent landscape of the social elite, we’re also shown a new world of Gossip Girl with social media thrown into the mix – bring on 2021.
