Back with another ultra-chill lo-fi hit is 22-year-old indie-pop artist Mango Rain with new single “Claudia”. Taking us through a dreamy soundscape filled with melodic guitars and oscillating synths, the singer transports us to hazy summer days, taking us on an ethereal journey with nothing but lay-lowing sunsets behind us. Working alongside singer-songwriter Oskar Jennerfors for the track, the duo created a hit similar to the vibes of Mac DeMarco and Clairo.
Speaking on the release, the singer said, “Claudia is about the feeling you get when you have some time alone with the person you love and when everything just feels right. I wrote this song to someone I got a very special connection to when travelling the world. I remember the lyrics came to me when I was surrounded by this beautiful view and the sun was up and the clouds were fading. It was a very special feeling.”
Following up his debut single “We Are We”, released last month, the singer has already dominated playlists and blogs, causing a stir on the indie-pop scene with his fresh summer-tinged sound and production ability. And while the Stockholm-hailed artist has just made his debut, the singer is already gearing up to release his upcoming EP later on this year.
