We’ve been bumping Meg The Stallion and City Girls all summer, but as days get colder we’re in need of some sad girl music to get us through the winter, and here with her delicate new single is newcomer Emi Wes with “Cry Baby”. Brimming with raw emotion and gripping vocals, the singer’s latest tune weaves in silky strings with melodic piano led productions for an orchestral-tinged single that’ll leave you in your feels. Crafted with producer Robin Hannibal, the song emits a mournful yet pure emotion that leaves you stunned by Wes’ vocal and songwriting ability.

Speaking on the release of the new single, Wes’ said, “The instrumental, the strings and Robins chords just gave me the words to a feeling I had in me. I guess it was also important for me to address that I have issues too, because we all do. Sometimes saying it loud makes it more okay. For me it’s a sign of strength being able to say the less pretty out loud.”

Having spent the past few years working with Danish songwriters, perfecting her craft, the singer is currently experimenting with various genres as she gears up for a pending take over, with her EP release on November 13th.
