Launching as a pop-up today in Harrods, FENDI x Chaos’ AW21 capsule collection sees the esteemed Italian brand team up with London-based accessories duo Chaos, helmed by Charlotte Stockdale and Katie Lyall, for a series of high-tech jewellery pieces that offer a luxury (and mega cool) alternative to the everyday bracelet and necklace.

Born out of a mutual love for vintage cigarette cases, gold lighters and ornate evening clutches, these beauties were first unveiled at FENDI’s AW21 show in Milan back in February, aiming to bring a slice of old Hollywood glamour kicking and screaming into the 2020s by fusing tradition, innovation and the forward-thinking style synonymous with the Fendi name.

In a mix of resplendent gold, mauve-pink and yellow pastel, the pair’s designs fuse the Maison’s traditional leather wears into daring pouch bags, FENDI waist belts, zipper chain lanyards, cross-body appendages and jewel-like casings for your wireless headphones and smartwatches – we can just picture an AirPod obsessed Marilyn Monroe flashing these to the paparazzi.

But they didn’t just stop there – the collections many other fantasy items are not limited to a multifunctional gold and silver scrabble pen, which can be used on tablets, paper and as an earring, a four-piece metal shot glass set – for the ginger shot health-freak or the tequila-loving party girl, AND a shearling-lined laptop case. Leaving no stone unturned, the duo wanted to create something a capsule that was tongue in cheek and daringly customisable, we think it’s suffice to say they’ve done exactly that.
