Hot off the heels of last week’s SS21 , today Louis Vuitton have unveiled their latest stroke of collaborative genius.

Introducing LVxNBA, the first cross-métiers menswear capsule collection under the artistic direction of Virgil Abloh. For three years Louis Vuitton will work with the National Basketball Association, on high-fashion luxury garments, accessories and possibly even sportswear – the thought of an LV-approved monogrammed basketball just feels so right.

The collaboration will see Abloh’s codes of design at the historic fashion house be combined with an array of iconography from the basketball universe, starting with the Louis Vuitton Trophy Travel Case.

To celebrate the winners of the 2020 NBA Finals, Abloh masterminded a bespoke travel case that perfectly showcases the world-famous Larry O’Brien trophy in all of its triumphant glory, meaning The Los Angeles Lakers are pretty suited and booted right now.

The collection also includes iced out jewellery, tracksuits, sturdy backpacks and a crisp-white monogram holdall, comically baring the remnants of a basketball hoop. It’s an ensemble perfect for NBA champions, or even chihuahua carrying socialites if you’re that way inclined.

The LVxNBA capsule collection will be available in stores on November 20th, 2020.
