Ever awoken from a dream so visceral and palpable that you were sure it must have been real life? This is exactly the experience explored in the atmospheric new video from NoMad London – giving us a first look at the luxurious settings of the ultra-sleek boutique bolthole (New York, Los Angeles and Las Vegas), and now, soon to open in the heart of the British capital.

In the cinematic visuals, we follow revered artist and performer Caroline Denervaud, disorientated and taking in her surroundings, before she receives a mysterious invitation to the hotel. We see her creating one of her striking pieces of artwork, in her signature sweeping dance-like fashion, making shapes with her body on a flat canvas – a deft amalgamation of performance and artwork. All of a sudden, she awakens in the plush bedding of NoMad London – situated in Covent Garden in a former magistrates’ court where Oscar Wilde and the Kray Twins once stood trial – before she spots her finished art propped up against a wall.

It is the very stylish introduction to what is no doubt already looking to be an impressive stay.

NoMad London opens December 2020 at 28 Bow Street, London.
