We know we are only three days into September, but it means we are 113 days closer to Christmas and, one actress already in the holiday spirit is Kristen Stewart with her new film Happiest Season. Directed the Clea DuVall, the first pictures from the Christmas rom-com were released via People Magazine yesterday and we’re already preparing the mistletoe.
Appearing alongside Black Mirror’s Mackenzie Davis, the rom-com will follow the relationship between the two respective characters Abby and Harper, whereby Abby wants to propose to Harper; but Harper hasn’t revealed the truth of her sexuality to her conservative parents. The first shots that were released see the two ice skating and gathering with family, played by Alison Brie and Aubrey Plaza.
With Kristen announced to play the lead role of Princess Diana in upcoming biopic Spencer earlier this year, the Christmas film is slated for release November 27.

First look! Kristen Stewart and Mackenzie Davis are starring in Happiest Season, the Christmas rom-com that features a lesbian love story. The movie, coming to theaters Nov. 25, was co-written and directed by Veep actress Clea DuVall, who says these types of holiday stories are long overdue. "I'm a huge fan of Christmas movies, but I had never seen my story represented," says DuVall. "Happiest Season felt like a great opportunity to tell a universal story from a new perspective."
