“We stand in solidarity with the entire Black community and will never tolerate any injustice.” And so begins the impactful new visuals from Swedish alt-pop duo Slide.
We see dancer Syann Cromwell taking to the streets of Los Angeles (pre-lockdown), taking full reigns of the visuals for an emotive dance-filled piece.
And the track itself is an anthem for resilience, empowerment – a tune of outcry for the disrespected and downtrodden. Rebellious lyricism dances upon a mellifluous hip-hop beat and thumping percussion.
Speaking about the new video, the band added, “Syann Cromwell embodies the song perfectly with her dance. We met in the same area in which we shot the ‘Keep Shining’ video. Syann had prepared a choreography that just fit the song perfectly. It was kind of freeing to not having to be in the video myself for once, just focusing on directing. The video ended up having so much energy, just like the song.”
