Combining addictive melodies with calming vocals is Virginia-hailed hip-hop crew Concept Collective for their new single “Hold Me Down”. The group – consisting of Tre Savels, Coolin’ Cal, Blonde Larry, Quazi, Davon Israel, Fali, Dime, WolfTrip and Olivier Moody – masterfully blend soulful instrumentals with funk-lead drum patterns for a summer-filled tune. The hip-hop track tackles the insecurities of modern relationships, with Dime chiming in at the chorus asking, “Can you hold me down”.

Speaking on the track, Coolin’ Cal said, “To me, the song is about my girl holding me down when I was down bad and figuring out what I was doing with my life. From when I was broke working barely over minimum wage trying to get my life together,”

The group – comprised of songwriters, producers and artists – all bring something different to the table and together they fuse their stylistic backgrounds to produce genre-bending music encompassing their unique vibe. Blast this new tune in your speakers on a summers day for maximum effect.
