Layered with oscillating rhythms and dream-pop vocals, singer-songwriter Drue de Milo infuses raw emotions with delicate strings on her new track “Drowning in Paradise”. The slow sexy song is an ode to being consumed by love and “drowning” in emotions. Feeling lost and confused, Drue de Milo took inspiration from the waters of Montauk, throwing herself in the deep end and learned how to surf.
Speaking on the tune the singer said, “‘Drowning in Paradise’ is a song about risk, love and uncertainty. In such uncertain times, it feels more relevant than ever to let go, enjoy the ride, and go for what you love…. ‘until heaven pulls us under’.”
Drue de Milo’s music touches on all points of music through poetry, movement and deep drums – pulling inspiration from the likes of Madonna, Bob Dyan and Britney Spears. With her upcoming EP on the way, the singer is gearing up for an unstoppable takeover.
