In these uncertain times, fashion rules are more fluid and innovation is required to push things forward. And as the first ever edition of Milan Digital Fashion Week draws to a close, Gucci brought the sartorial goods as expected, courtesy of boundary-pushing stalwart Alessandro Michele.
“Epilogue” is the latest unisex collection from Gucci, which offered up a 12-hour live stream, broadcasting in real time from the Gucci advertising campaign shoot – shot by American photographer Alec Soth, and with the cast of the lookbook made up entirely of Alessandro Michele’s Design Office team.
“In this sense, the epilogue that I deliver to you today really feels like an overture. A watershed that closes and opens at the same time, a threshold of a new beginning, from which we try to imagine our tomorrow,” wrote Michele in the show notes.
