Structured tweed and extravagant silhouettes dresses are at the forefront of Chanel’s sumptuous Fall-Winter 2020/21 Haute Couture collection. With strare-worthy high glamour and jewellery taken from the CHANEL High Jewellery collection, the French fashion house showcases a black and anthracite collection with dashes of magenta and high-shine metallics. “A punk princess coming out of ‘Le Palace’ at dawn” was the inspiration behind the collection, as well as the eccentric and avant-garde acquaintances of the late Karl Lagerfeld.
Designed by creative director and Lagerfeld right hand Virginie Viard, the collection features heavily embellished tweeds with sequins, strass, stones and beads, accompanied by ink-black trousers suits and striking gowns. Speaking on the collection the designer said: “For me, Haute Couture is romantic by its very essence. There is so much love in each one of these silhouettes.”
