PFW: CHANEL AW20

Friendship, feminism and women supporting each other was at the epicentre of this lush collection.

Inside the enormous blinding white historic Grand Palais was the pinnacle of Paris Fashion Week. The iconic French fashion house Chanel held their AW20 collection show with clouds of sleepy and dreamy smoke dusting the mirrored runway, and birds chirping happily over the PA. The show opened with two models laughing and casually chatting down the runway having the time of their life. Creative director Virginie Viard set the tone for the collection immediately with friendship, feminism and women supporting each other at the core of this collection.

The collection stayed true to Chanel with a classic colour palette of black, white and grey with dashes of green, pink and gold. Most sought after from this collection were the pirate-style knee-high boots with slouchy black fold-over leather. CC logo tights are what we are all going to be rocking this winter with cropped pink puffers for a cute chic look. And the most-wanted look? The signature matching tweed shorts and blazer set, with drippy gold chains and CC tights for an ultimate icy girl look for winter.
