Back with a beautiful new track is Japanese singer-songwriter Mieko Shimizu, with the remix of latest track “Butterfly”. Remixed by Mike Lindsay, the track takes on experimental synth-pop beats with punchy baselines, tying in Mieko’s elegant melodic vocals for a smooth electronic soundscape.

While her gigs and shows have been postponed, Mieko has been continuing to spread positivity during the outbreak on her IG live, covering artists such as Radiohead and Caribou every Monday.

Known for her poetic lyrical verses and stunning musical arrangements, Mieko has shined in every aspect of music. With collaborations with the likes of MC RIZ and Mick Karn, to performing at the London Olympics in 2012, the Japanese artist refuses to be confined to box artistically and we can’t wait to see what’s next.
