Last year, in a frank interview, Man About Town magazine dove into the life of Queer Eye’s much-celebrated resident chef Antoni Porowski, gaining insight on what it’s like to live life (and date) under the lens, as well as his sexual fluidity.
“I think part of me always knew I would end up in a relationship with a man, but I’ve also been interested in women in the past and been in love with them and had long meaningful relationships with them,” explained Antoni. “I don’t like labels or feeling like I’m controlled by anything. I’ve always felt more comfortable being fluid. I’ve certainly changed as a result of meeting my castmates and now I’m definitely a lot more open. I do think its important being able to change, and I’m constantly changing.”
Now, for all the hordes of super fans out there who’ve been left thirsting for more, the news has been announced that Antoni’s life is now going to be the subject of a Netflix film, titled Girls & Boys – focusing on his dating experiences.
The story of the film has been developed by Antoni and Black-ish creator Kenya Barris – with Andrew Rhymer (Pen15) and Jeff Chan helming the screenplay.
