In a buzzy announcement from Prada’s headquarters in Milan, it has been revealed that Raf Simons will be joining Miuccia Prada at the helm of the Italian luxury house – with the two being co-creative directors in matters ranging from creative input to decision-making.

There is no doubt that the two are amongst the most influential figureheads in fashion today, with Simons and Prada having been acquaintances since 2005, when Simons was appointed the creative director of Jil Sander, then owned by the Prada Group. He later headed up Dior in 2012, then Calvin Klein in 2016, which he left in December 2018.

The first collection designed by Prada and Simons will be the Spring/Summer 2021 womenswear show, later this year in September. Watch this space.
