This is not a drill. The first trailer for Wes Anderson’s 10th feature film is here – and it’s everything we could want, plus more.

For months now, rumours of the cast list for The French Dispatch have been causing barely-closeted office hysteria (along with wails of “IT’S TOO MUCH”): I mean, Timothée Chalamet, Saoirse Ronan, Bill Murray, Tilda Swinton, Frances McDormand, Benicio del Toro and Elisabeth Moss. Anderson didn’t come here to play.

Set in a fictional French city, the comedy film is a “love letter to journalists” and follows a newspaper/“a factual weekly report on the world of politics, the arts — high and low — and diverse stories of human interest.”

Cop Chalamet’s Einstein-style hair and moustache.

The French Dispatch will open in cinemas on 24 July in the US, and 28 August in the UK.
