PREMIERE: PORT JUVEE – “MOTION CONTROL”

The Calgary-based post-punk band drop their rollicking new track.

Like the rapid increase of the pulse or a spike of adrenaline, the brand new track from Port Juvee is a high-tempo observation of living in the digital age.

“Motion Control” is the highly-anticipated follow-up to the last single from the Calgary-hailed band, splicing a heady dose of NYC post-punk and coastal California surf. Propulsive rhythms, warped riffs, and look out for the trippy retro-futuristic visuals.

“The refrain ‘now at the dawn of the digital age’ acts as a calling card to the entire album,” explains Port Juvee. “The guitars in the verses carry an almost computer-like rhythm, and the lyrics explore anxiety, loneliness and unrelenting want — “Oh I’d forfeit all I got, like I never wanted it.”
