Part singer, poet and dark pop princess, Lux Lyall — whose name sounds almost as dreamy as her voice —strikingly calls to mind a youthful Lana Del Rey, whom she has revealed is an inspiration. Having grown up around a plethora of music, including the likes of The Beatles, Led Zeppelin and Queenadreena, it is clear that, like her predecessors, guitar is a key element for her musically. She talks of her deep love for literature in the Winter issue, as she recounts writing music from an early age, to this day continuing to expand her vast poetry collection.
And her latest drop – Lyall’s fourth single, “Mad With The Moon” – is more of the same sonic excellence. Hypnotic crooning vocals and lushly textured instrumentals bolster a sorrowful song of heartache turned empowering tale of self-acceptance.
