Since his arrival in the fashion industry, bold British talent and 2017 LVMH Prize nominee Daniel W. Fletcher has risen formidably from a sea of graduate designers, firmly establishing himself as a distinctive menswear voice to watch. Outspoken political slogans on louche silhouettes have previously gained the next-gen designer much acclaim.

In a buzzy move, Fiorucci have now appointed the designer as Menswear Artistic Director, marking a shift in their approach to menswear.

As depicted by a AW20 menswear moodboard, the collection will delve into the British-Italian brand’s colourful archive and heritage with Fletcher’s first collection to be presented at upcoming London Fashion Week Men’s in early 2020.

“It’s a great honour to have been asked to lead the new agenda of menswear for the iconic Fiorucci brand,” explains Fletcher. “I’m very much looking forward to bringing back the components of culture and design that put the brand on the map in the sixties. Fiorruci’s extensive archive is something I could only have dreamt of since I first discovered it in the library of Central Saint Martins. I thank Janie and Stephen, founders of Fiorucci for this opportunity and very much looking forward to working with them.”
