With soothing vocals, stirring guitars and shoegazey synths, Wild’s self-produced debut is a nostalgic and dreamy look at youth. The track conjures up thoughts of cruising down an empty country road in the heat of summer, you’re heading to the beach after taking a few wrong turns and the only care in the world you have is trying to remember if you brought your sandals. If this scene was in a coming-of-age flick, “Fever Brain” would be the song blasting through the radio’s speakers. It’s warm, wistful, and wonderful.
