Ireland, a country previously known for its strong religious beliefs, has been the subject of the news over the past couple of years after strict and regressive laws around abortion and same-sex marriage have recently been legalised. Growing up in a working-class sector of cultural hub Dublin, photographer Conor Clinch has directed a short film documenting the ever-changing landscape of his country and its evolution since the financial crash of 2008.

The evocative film features a diverse group of young people, describing what they love about the country, their thoughts on the new chapter of their beloved home, and the importance of celebrating the voice of Ireland’s youth. “I wanted to shoot this short film to show what the young generation in Ireland has to say”, Clinch explains. “The creative industries in Ireland are becoming more and more recognized internationally while there are becoming less and less creative hubs. Despite the country’s massive developments in recent years, the capital city is slowly losing its charm to make more room for corporate giants”.
