Last Friday, the floor skirting of Mayfair gallery Unit London emitted an inviting red glow, aptly marking the setting of Wonderland’s London Fashion Week party in partnership with Christian Louboutin (known, of course, for the signature lacquered soles on their footwear).
Marking the debut of Run Loubi Run, Louboutin’s first collection of luxury trainers, we teamed up with the accessories brand for a short film featuring prominent talents from the Royal Ballet, Lauren Cuthbertson and Marcelino Sambé.
At the party, the entrance was flooded with the light from the hypnotising looping video, and stands showcased the new line of chunky embellished mens and women trainers. Champagne flowed and gold leaf sushi circuited as guests enjoyed a live show from a break-dance crew (all wearing the new trainers, of course), through a glass pane on the floor. London-based DJ Betty Belle started up the party, which then closed with a set from fun-loving DJ collective AUDI0comingS00N.
And the likes of Brooklyn Beckham, singers Zak Abel and Eliza, presenter Maya Jama, and acting talent Sean Teale and the cast of Sex Education made an appearance.
Sore heads all round.
The Run Loubi Run collection will launch mid-Feb in Christian Louboutin boutiques worldwide and on christianlouboutin.com.
