It’s been a big month for Polish-born, Germany raised designer Marta Jakubowski. First, her custom-made pants featured in a Fenty Beauty campaign worn by none other than Rihanna (screaming), and now a knock-out LFW show.
Her AW19 collection featured the silhouettes, cut-outs and layering Marta Jakubowski’s become known for, but with a new focus on tailoring. There were asymmetric cuts and quilted puffers, in textured materials from knitwear to crushed velvet.
The palette ranged from caramels and burnt oranges, to berry red and greys in pinstripe and high-shine sheen. Each model also wore a leafy flower… in their mouth.
