For AW19, Fashion East alumnus Ryan Lo presented a hyper-girly collection complete with bows, baby pink tones and old-fashioned baby prams he designed for the British brand Silver Cross.
Set in a 13th-century church, the Hong Kong-born designer sent models down a runway decorated with gypsophila petals, with bouncy bouffant curls and hot pink lip looks. There were duster coats and jacquard prints, prairie gowns, tulle, ruffles, sheer gloves, ear muffs and pointy heels embellished with diamante, bows and fluffy finishes.
Mixing sophisticated glam with childhood inspired silhouettes and motifs, saccharine pastels with monochrome looks, the collection evoked the timeless birthday party of our dreams.
