BACKSTAGE AT MFW: ARTHUR ARBESSER

Prints go from 0 to 100, real quick, for SS19.

Life imitating art is nothing new. But for Milan Fashion Week, Viennese designer, Arthur Arbesser put a fresh stamp on the whole thing, with eclectic riffs on ceramic pieces by contemporary Italian sculptor, Fausto Melotti.

Horse figurines and swirling marble inundated pleated skirts and dresses for the prints-heavy SS19 collection. Checked bodysuits added layered punch to oh-so-pretty midi dresses and shirts came colour-blocked with retro panelling.

Know this, the Arthur Arbesser look is not for the faint-hearted. But that’s how we like it.
