INTRODUCING BROWNS

The London-born cult boutique has now touched down on US soil.

From first making waves on the London retail scene in the 70s, to becoming a cult household name boutique – oh, and championing a few budding designers along the way (you might recognise the names Alexander McQueen, John Galliano and Calvin Klein). It’s undisputed. Browns is iconic.

Expanding from its first bricks and mortar store in South Molton street, to its huge online site, Browns stocks 300+ brands, including the likes of Off-White, Fendi and Saint Laurent. Dreamy. Stuff.

And now for the first time, the brand has now also extended its reach to US soil. We’re talking Sunset Boulevard, baby. Browns has set up (pop-up) shop in pioneering retailer Fred Segal’s West Hollywood flagship store. Known for their fresh experiential take on retail, it’s a partnership made in shopping heaven.

To celebrate, they’ve launched a brand new campaign: A Tale Of Two Cities (oh hey, cheeky Dickens ref). Enlisting the help of fashion faves, radioactive Brit singer Karen Elson and buzzy US model Alton Mason, they’ve each curated fashion odes to their respective cities.

So, London through Karen’s eyes. And LA through Alton’s. Alton dances on an industrial rooftop and checks out a record store, while Karen holes up in an cafe and chills in a very British living room.

“A little black bag is timeless, but made 100x better when it’s stamped with a retro 80s-style twist on the Prada logo.”

“ICYMI: the album of the year is gonna be dropped next week (aka Pale Waves’ debut My Mind Makes Noises), so in my eternal quest to become best mates with the band and eventually get asked to join, I gotta get the outfit right and these high waisted leather trousers are gonna get me one step closer… Keep your fingers crossed for me, pals.”

“So it was genuinely a childhood dream of mine to actually be either Shania Twain or Anastacia (cringe, I know). Wish I’d seen these as a 10 year-old, as they would have made this dream a reality.”

“It’s never too early to start preparing for winter, right? I’m basically in menswear most of the time anyways, and this distressed Off-White jumper is the stuff of dreams.”
