WONDERLIST
The best songs from the last week.
Conducta – “Only U”
Naaz – “Loving Love”
After her debut track “Words” dropped last year, we knew Naaz was set for greatness, and her latest track is simply further proof of this. A sizzling synth-pop number, “Loving Love” is set to push the Holland-based artist into proper pop stardom, where she firmly belongs.
Lo Moon – “My Money”
Giving us the latest taste of their upcoming self-titled debut album, LA-based trio Lo Moon have returned with their newest track “My Money”. A dreamy, cinematic soundscape, the song is the perfect preview of what is set to be a mesmerising debut.
Marshmello and Anne-Marie – “Friends”
Racking up over 10 million streams in only one week, Marshmello and Anne-Marie‘s latest track is a certified banger. A fun-filled song detailing two different views on a relationship, if you’re looking for your next dance-floor filler, look no further.
Neil Frances – “Teardrops”
Initially not intended for release, we are beyond glad that Neil Frances decided against that original idea and have now dropped a cover of Womack and Womack’s “Teardrops”. Speaking on the track, the band say: “It’s an incredibly sad song, a brilliant song. It’s almost as if slowing it down made the lyrics sink in for us. It’s a testament to great songwriting that it really works at any tempo.” We couldn’t agree more.
Frank Ocean – “Moon River”
Feeling emotional after your hangover from the weekend? Well Frank Ocean is here to make you feel all the #feels with his cover of “Moon River”. Unsurprisingly insanely beautiful, it’s a refreshing take on the 1962 classic and even more evidence that Frank cannot do wrong.
Mount Kimbie feat. King Krule – “Turtle Neck Man”
It’s no surprise that this song is amazing. Mount Kimbie and King Krule? There’s not a lot else you could want from a song. Releasing the previously unheard “Turtle Neck Man”, which was recorded during the same sessions as the critically acclaimed album Love What Survives, the song is a gorgeous mix of Mount Kimbie’s sweet sounds and King Krule’s striking vocals.
Au/Ra – “Panic Room”
Rising pop siren Au/Ra has dropped her latest mesmerising new song and it is, quite frankly, stunning. Detailing her struggle with anxiety, her “darkest song” to date is set to touch a nerve with many and further establish her as one of the most exciting pop newcomers around.
Iceage – “Catch It”
Back with their first new music since 2014’s Plowing Into The Field of Love, Iceage are finally back! Returning with “Catch It”, the drooling post-punk track is an intoxicating glance at – what we can only hope is – their forthcoming new record.
Sam Way – “You and All Your Things”
Proving that he’s more than just a pretty face, Sam Way is back with his jaw-droppingly beautiful new track “You and All Your Things”. A clear indication of what a special and unique songwriter Sam is, this is definitely just the beginning.
