GUCCI GUILTY BY SARAH BAHBAH

Alessandro Michele taps the artist for new Absolute Pour Femme campaign.

Alessandro Michele’s fierce infiltration of the art world sees absolutely no signs of stopping, and TBH we’re cool with it. The creative director’s latest nod to the industry arrives simultaneous to Gucci Guilty Absolute Pour Femme – following last year’s Pour Homme release – with the house tapping Palestinian artist Sarah Bahbah for the accompanying campaign.

“I imagined a woman going into her boyfriend’s bathroom, taking his fragrance and making it her own,” explains Michele of this latest scent. “I wanted a blackberry note that would make you dream upon smelling it. It’s magical and it’s connected to nature, as well as to emotion. There is romance in this perfume, an aura of pure, free love.”

And the corresponding imagery, pictured here, takes all of this into account, marrying Bahbah’s trademark kitsch subtitles with a palette that explores all the best shades of berry, textures like silk, velvet and lace, and love stories: Unrequited, Unwavering and Unconditional.
