BURBERRY × NET-A-PORTER

Inspired by its September 2017 collection, the house just dropped a sweet new hook up.

Burberry is launching its first ever NET-A-PORTER exclusive collection, inspired by the brand’s September 2017 show that we recently saw on London’s SS18 catwalk. The 14-piece womenswear capsule boasts a mix of delicate lace dresses under plastic waterproof outerwear, form-fitting trousers and tartan skirts.

As featured heavily on the catwalk, the checks continue in the hand-knitted patchworks of cable knits, with the classic Burberry pattern taking centre stage, here making up the lining of bomber and hooded jackets. If you’re looking for a bold statement piece to see you into the new season, you’ll find a winter-ready green faux-fur coat, and colourful military, almost Queens Guard-style jackets, a shorter version of the SS18 model and the matching skirts that accompanied the style last month. A mix of clashing colours and textures, Burberry once again succeeds in creating a modern urban aesthetic out of traditional British forms.

To mark the launch, a winter sun-soaked, quintessentially British campaign video (here) pictures the bare-faced Burberry models boarding trains into the English countryside, strolling through fields in their seasonal attire. Perfect for such autumnal activities; get your hands on the full line-up now.
