ZEITGEIST BY WEEKDAY

The upcoming T-shirt drop you need to know about.

“Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity, and I’m not even sure about the universe.” We don’t often have much reason to quote Albert Einstein here at Wonderland, but by emblazoning his wisdom across its limited edition T-shirts, our Scandi faves at Weekday have made it happen. Part of the brand’s Zeitgeist project, the T-shirt in question was the 32nd out of 52 to be released this year and if you want your hands on it, too late. It’s already gone.

Hold your woes and dry your tears, for all is not lost. After the design’s immense popularity, Weekday is launching a re-edition collection of its most covetable designs that will be up for grabs in-store and online from the 28 September (get Thursday in your diary now).

Conceived simply as a fun in-store project in 2011, Weekday has been dropping new, limited edition designs on a weekly basis as part of its Zeitgeist project now for the past six years. Due to their weekly roll-out, the T-shirt’s prints feature designs that speak to a cultural moment in time: “J’adore Diana” graced the front of pink tees to commemorate the Princess of Wales’ death at the beginning of the month, while “normative culture is a burden” designs protested Trump’s decision to ban transgender people from serving in the US military. Political statements and messages of self-love serve as the bread and butter of the project, making them the perfect accompaniment to the millennial state of mind.

We suggest looking through the archive here and deciding now which design you’d most like to get your eager mitts on. As per usual, these tees aren’t going to hang around for long.
