FPAR AW17

Forty Percent Against Rights’ latest collection sees the label revisiting the political.

Following the past year and a half of political turbulence verging on dystopia, FPAR’s (Forty Percent Against Rights) new collection couldn’t have come at a better, more relevant time. Since its inception in 1993 – by school friends Tetsu Nishiyama and Sk8thing – the brand’s signature, politically themed slogan T-shirts have been an opposing force against the messages of the mainstream media with their own confrontational, silkscreened text.

With all the high notes of contemporary men’s streetwear – silk bombers, white tees and jumpers – the collection draws on graffiti as inspiration for its prints. Against the minimalist palette of white, khaki, black and grey, the line-up features a bold FPARMY motif, static snow screens and the statement slogans of ‘my life is my life’ and ‘no way I am going to lose’.

While wearing the collection may not be a revolutionary act, it’s certainly sends a message. Be the change and shop it here.
