XANDER GHOST: PSYCHOTROPICA

It’s easy to draw comparisons between London based one-man band, Xander Ghost and The Weeknd, but it’s a statement he probably wouldn’t take as a compliment. Mainly because the singer/songwriter/producer/creative in fact considers himself none of those things, eschewing labels and any influence from the artists he’s up against. The self-styled paradox is exactly that: his sound manages to be both unique and distinct but familiar and very of-the-minute all at once.

Juxtaposing cinematic build ups with dance-inducing drops, he lures you into one corner of his world just to catapult you into another with expert precision, and he’s about to drop his debut project – Psychotropica – in which every sound you hear was created independently; quite a feat given he hates being in the studio.

Psychotropica puts you in a classic car and drives you out of reality and into a sexy collision of r’n’b, electro and rap with a sprinkling of Spanish guitar. Don’t believe us? Check the exclusive stream below.
