Prada Poster Girl

Miuccia revisits female sexuality with a new lifestyle collection.

In keeping with the brand’s repeated allusions to the visual arts, Miuccia Prada has taken inspiration from the Prada Women’s 2017 fashion shows to launch a new line-up of T-shirts and sweaters, aptly titled Prada Poster Girl. Due to drop at the end of July – and produced in simple white cotton – the pieces are distinguished by a series of unique prints that feature images of scantily dressed, weapon-bearing femme fatales and erotic thriller style titles including The Lion House and The Velvet Knife.

Following previous collaborations with the likes of Wes Anderson and Ridley Scott, and the release of avant-garde film Past Forward that debuted at the end of last year, the brand’s AW17 collection featured prints sourced from the paperback novels of Robert McGinnis, the American illustrator behind the Breakfast at Tiffany’s and Barbarella film posters.

The sweaters – available with or without hood, with long or short sleeves – feature colour coordinated cuffs and collars, while the tees are likewise available in short and long styles; both options come beautifully protected by exclusive packaging that features all of the poster girls, just incase, like us, you can’t pick a favourite.
