RE: SUSTAIN

Prama Bhardwaj, Matthew Murphy and Richard Martin’s new label wins the green vote.

Does the fashion industry need another T-shirt brand? Probably not. Could it do with a label whose core is so focused on sustainability its moniker carries seven of the same letters? Certainly there’s room. Introducing Re:Sustain, the latest venture from Prama Bhardwaj, Mantis World founder and a global authority on sustainability, co-owner of London indie store OTHER/shop, Matthew Murphy, and Richard Martin, formerly of Fred Perry’s global marketing division.

The sum of three parts, the new unisex label taps several points frequently brought up by those consumers whose shopping habits aim to side on the ethical – the offering is price democratic, employs a fully sustainable process and uses certified yarn – while the collection’s aesthetic riffs on the classic not the trend led.

Comprised of tees, jumpers, jackets and more, the line-up boasts simple cuts and unique decorative details (think loopback exposed sweats, oversized pockets and double stitched hems), while the introductory palette features navy, peach and white, as denim and jersey take the textural lead.
