Premiere: Beachwood Coyotes – "Face To Face"

Get stuck into some sun kissed noise from The Golden State.

Beachwood Coyotes have achieved the rare accolade of creating possibly the greatest press release of all time. It tells the story of lead singer Jason’s first acid trip and how he subsequently came up with the name Beachwood Coyotes. From that fateful first night came the birth of a sterling pop punk equal parts Prawn and Kings of Leon. Channelling early Midwest emo and solid guitar pop in their latest single “Face to Face”, the band combine brazen lyricisms with the sweet sounds of indie creating a melancholic ode to lost love.

Ruminating on the song Jason form the band has this to stay: “I call it an anti-love song and it’s about realising when it’s necessary to move on from a person that is holding you back from chasing your dreams. It’s an abrasive pop song and features some of the most vulnerable lyrics I’ve written.”
