Stalwart of the silver screen, Charlotte Gainsbourg has been named as the new face of Saint Laurent. Following Oscar worthy appearances in some of the most acclaimed (albeit harrowing) flicks, including Lars Von Trier’s masterpieces Melancholia, Antichrist and Nymphomaniac, she’s now stepped in front of the lens as part of Saint Laurent’s Winter 17 preview film.

The collaboration with Gainsbourg sees creative director Anthony Vaccarello taking inspo from his predecessor Hedi Slimane, who previously tapped Gainsbourg’s mother Jane Birkin for a Saint Laurent stint circa March 2016. Donning a sparkling asymmetric dress from the Winter 17 collection, Gainsbourg works the industrial space, taking slashes at nothingness.
