Giving us an extra teaser of his debut album, Mount Song has just released his newest track “Here it goes”. Known for being political and poetic, Mount Song says of his songs subject matter, “I write about that which feels urgent to me, the things that knock me out; my encounters with life’s monsters. That which feels most urgent for me in the moment becomes the content of the songs.” What this results in is a boldly beautiful rock song, with a sizzling intensity that makes you want to listen to it all day.
Blending elements from influences including Bonnie “Prince” Billy, Jeff Buckley and Nirvana, the track mixes genres creating a delightfully unique sound. And with his stunningly folky vocals, the experience will give you goosebumps.
Set to release his self-titled debut album on 5th May, Mount Song is heading straight for the top.
