Premiere: Tom Adams – "Come On, Dreamer"

The bewitching new video from the spellbinding singer.

Tom Adams has a voice that will leave you speechless. Haunting and beautiful, his delicate falsetto is arresting and magical. Inspired by growing up in the countryside, Tom describes how the sparseness of his surroundings led to his singing style, “Living in the countryside is lovely for writing as you can leave so much space in your music – the perfect situation for delicate sounds.”

Having released his debut EP “Voyages by Starlight” last year, Tom is preparing to release his full-length debut Silence on 5th May via Kowloon Records, and “Come On, Dreamer” is the brilliant lead track. With stunningly melancholic piano chords, the track is a chilling yet hopeful ode to shedding insecurities and accepting who you are. In the accompanying video, this is put into action as we are lead through a physical journey to self acceptance. As director Leo Plunkett explains, “I got the idea of the narrative for this film from the idea of letting out your inner desire without any judgement from the outside world. I wanted the character to be really straight edged in an environment that juxtaposed him. He is finding his sanctuary where he is comfortable letting out his passion. I wanted people to see two totally different characters from the beginning to the end of the video. I tried to split these two sides of him by using the light to the darkness. Me and Tom have been working on musical projects together for a number of years and have been collaborating closely on videos for two singles from this album.”

Poignant and powerful, the video is the perfect representation of Tom’s songwriting. And with the album out next month, we can’t wait to hear more.
