Best of the next, we get to know the model.

Tell us how you got scouted.

So, long story. I was 15 and basically there was this fashion show going on and some random guy asked if I wanted to be part of it; I accepted. I actually got there late so I didn’t even get to do the show, but he said: “You know what, just come to the after party!” And I’m 15, so I’m gassed. Went there, had a great time and I bumped into my old Mother agent, his name’s Jodi. He was like: “Who are you?” and I was like: “…Who are you?”

I had tried to be scouted before. I had been to see five agencies and was turned down, so I thought there’s no way I would be modelling. Back then I had really long hair as well, big high top. I just thought “Nah, I don’t want to do it”. And when I met him he was like, “I promise you, give me a week and I’ll get you signed.” So, cool whatever. Then he got me signed to Elite; I actually left them two weeks ago and I’m with Storm now.

What have you been doing since you were scouted?

I’ve done loads mate. My latest campaign is Stone Island, that’s coming out in September!

And what’s been your favourite modelling moment so far?

Favourite modelling moment… There’s been loads, man. I would say, maybe, when I got to go Italy for the first time. It might not sound so crazy but I’ve always wanted to go there. I just felt so grateful that I got there, after all this time. I actually did a great season, doing it for the first time.

Who would be your dream photographer to collaborate with?

You’re throwing me on the spot, man (laughs), I honestly don’t have one. I’m the type of model who just enjoys working with whoever I connect with, in a certain way. When it’s organic, that’s what I like. To work with someone who… We aren’t just working, we’re having fun together. When the shoot doesn’t feel like it’s dragging.

What do you get up to when you’re not modelling?

I go to the gym. I go boxing. It’s weird like, basically before I was modelling I was just playing basketball. So, most of the time when I’m not modelling, I’m doing sports like basketball or the gym. Yeah, just hanging with friends really!

Do you prefer shoots or shows?

Shows! Better atmosphere. It’s tiring [but] there’s more adrenaline and I love it.

Who is your favourite female model and who is your favourite male model?

Oh! Favourite female model would be Jourdan Dunn, she’s sexy. I met her not too long ago actually; I was just like “Man, I’ll get you one day”.

Male model? I wouldn’t say I have a favourite one, but one that I really respect and admire is Dudley [O’Shaughnessy]. I like the way he’s really opened up doors for people and the way he doesn’t go on about it. Plus he’s one of my friends!

What is your favourite thing that you have worn on a shoot?

I wore these silky pyjamas, they weren’t even pyjamas. It was like this silky suit, Gucci suit with snakeskin on the back.
