SAINT LAURENT WINTER 17: VIDEO
Nathalie Canguilhem directs a new short for the house.
Because a hundred plus looks is a whole lot of fashion to take in, Saint Laurent has produced a new short, highlighting the best of the best from Anthony Vaccarello’s leather heavy second outing for the house. Translating ideas surrounding the paradoxes and tensions of a contemporary Saint Laurent femininity to cloth, the collection – which made its debut at Paris Fashion Week last month – focused on asymmetric necklines, ruffles and thigh length hems.
Directed by Nathalie Canguilhem with a soundtrack by Sebastian, the film features a strong line up of models who walked the show, amongst them Mica Arganaraz, Binx Walton, Louis Marzin and Fernanda Oliveria, and was shot on location at Rue de Bellechasse in Paris, naturally. Set against a backdrop of intense scaffolding under a blue light, the camera moves between close ups of the models features and full outfit shots. Watch it above.
