Street XO

Madrid-based chef David Muñoz opens restaurant in Mayfair.

The latest hotspot for adventurous foodies, Street XO is not advised for the faint of heart; here Madrid-based chef David Muñoz has built a menu that aims to shock, surprise and delight. Whether those moments happen while tucking into the Pekinese Dumpling with Strawberry Hoi Sin sauce, or sat watching the theatrical, blazing open kitchen from your table – Street XO is an experience you won’t be forgetting anytime soon.

Considered the younger (more accessible) sibling of Madrid’s Diver XO – the only three Michelin starred restaurant in Spain – Street XO has already been attracting guests from far and wide since its launch in November. Taking inspiration from European, Asian and South American cuisines, with most dishes boasting either a Mediterranean or East Asian angle, there are dishes to tickle most fancies.

After entering from Old Burlington Street (a stone’s throw, give or take, from the Wonderland shop in Piccadilly), guests are met with a confident cocktail bar, from which you can entertain the restaurant’s stained wood interior, deep red marble and neon light installations. However, we reckon the wisest decision is to stay right there and soak up the impressive cocktail list…
