Premiere: Plested – "Habits"

The new track from the talented wordsmith.

You may not have heard of the name Plested before, but you have definitely heard his music. Little Mix’s “Touch”? Yeah, he co-wrote that. He can also add Zayn Malik, Emeli Sande and James Morrison to the list of artists he’s penned tracks for. And he’s only 24. Feeling slightly inadequate? Us too.

Plested has now released his new track, “Habits”, and it is fab. A twisted ode to love, it’s delightfully soulful and shows off Plested’s hypnotic vocals. In his own words, he describes the track as a “messed up love song”. “You know that feeling you have when you know you shouldn’t be doing something? When you’re addicted but you shouldn’t be and you’re enjoying every moment of it. I guess, when you want something that’s bad for you. That’s what ‘Habits’ is. I write love songs and this is my messed up love song.”
