CONVERSE: CHUCK FOREVER

In celebration of a cultural icon.

Described by some as ‘the most pinnacle piece of the story of Chuck’, Converse’s iconic sneaker has just got its own film, and it features no less than three Wonderland cover stars. Directed by Karim Huu Do and coming in at a tidy two minutes one second, Forever Chuck explores contemporary youth culture, the styles that feed it and the universal appeal of the Chuck Taylor.

Tapping Maisie Williams, Yara Shahidi and Winnie Harlow (told ya) alongside Olly Alexander, Vince Staples, Millie Bobby Brown – and plenty more – the short draws on those individuals for whom The Man ain’t nothing more than a remote phrase.

Working across film, fashion, TV, and music, the group is united by the iconic footwear design. Celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2017, said model here asserts itself as a symbol, a lasting cultural signifier and a rejection of throwaway trends, something we can all agree isn’t much of a stretch.
