Wonderland.

LFW: Versus Versace AW17

Book-ended by the Hadid sisters, Versus Versace Fall 17 show was a high-drama delight.

Super Space

Attended by the likes of Wonderland cover girls M.I.A and Charli XCX, Ellie Goulding, Alexendra Shulman and Alexandra Shulman to name but a few, the show was undeniably a high-drama affair. With signs littered around the building stating that “STROBE LIGHTING WILL APPEAR IN THIS SHOW”, it was evident that Donatella wouldn’t be holding back in for her AW17 presentation. In a setting which you could imagine would be the perfect location for an intimate Kanye gig, the industrial arena featured steel-work with lighting attached, which flashed around the space to offer up a rave-in-a-warehouse vibe. Very much into it.

Sequence of Colour

The collection was perfectly presented in sections dictated by colour scheme. Black looks came out first, followed by white, red, blue, then pink and blue before finishing again with black. The diverse collection was classically Versus, with artistic elements added into every look. We were obsessed with the gorgeous dresses and zip detailing that was prevalent throughout the entire collection. The pink and blue coloured fur was a huge juxtaposition with the classic black dresses, ensuring that there was bursts of bright colours to stand out against the monochrome offerings. Other standouts included the red-leather mini-skirts and versus chokers.

Double Trouble

“My favourite model!” Donatella exclaimed on her Instagram in a video alongside Gigi Hadid, so it seemed only fitting that both Gigi and Bella would both walk in what was arguably the most-hyped about show on the Saturday LFW schedule. The show was opened Gigi in a classic long-sleeve LBD with zip detailing and closed by Wonderland cover-girl Bella in a long-sleeve fur crop, VERSUS choker and asymmetrical skirt.
