LFW: Clio Peppiatt

Clio Peppiatt’s SS17 presentation left other designers in the dust with her sassy, red hot girl gang.

When you’re chilling at 7, but you got a party at 8

From our LFW Clio Peppiatt preview, we already know that Clio’s collection was inspired by motorcycle gangs and girl bands, but that was sneak peek was certainly just a tiny taste of what Clio had to offer. Her girl power collection contrasted elegant lace skirts and sequin dresses with casual tees, jumpers and bomber jackets. The sassier-than-you models rested on red hot motorcycles and shouted through megaphones surrounded by a set made of checkerboard race flags and broken pieces of your ex’s sports car.

Embroider Your Heart Out

All of the pieces were decked out with Clio’s signature embroidery. The words “Fast Women” were plastered on jumpers and tees, while other pieces were adorned with an onslaught of patches – jaguars, flames and naked women galore! Simple pieces were amped up to the max with graphic details and sultry blood-red lace.

Accessoride or Die

The killer outfits were finished off with an array of kickass accessories. All of the models stomped around in the coolest footwear – pointed lace up heels and boots, in feminine colours like pastel lilac and delectable red. Sat on a ripped-out car seat was a model looking quite blasé in the chicest sparkling cat-eye sunglasses. Another model wore sunglasses while blasting lyrics through a bedazzled megaphone. As the finishing touch, the girls wore statement lettered necklaces, with the words “fast women” and “carnage” dangling from their necks. Honestly a dream come true for the baddest dames around – this collection has the perfect garms to wear while driving straight through men’s hearts with the radio blasting. Now, please excuse us while we go stalk Clio until she gives up some of her wicked gear.
